Frikort (free card)

In Norway, when you earn less than a given amount in a calendar year (as of January 2023: 70 000 NOK), you do not need to pay tax.

But you still need a tax card, in this case called Frikort (Free card). You can apply for this at skatteetaten.no, in the same way you apply for a regular tax card.
